[00:00:00] Cody, how the hell do you apply foundation to your face with facial hair without getting super chunky? Now that is the most commonly asked question, being a man in makeup with facial hair. So today I'm going to quickly show you how I apply my foundation so that I don't get any chunky foundation mixed with my facial hair.

Okay. So my skin is already prepped with moisturizer, so I'm ready to go with my phone. I'm using my Melanie two in one conceal and perfect foundation. And I like to go in with a damp beauty sponge damp, meaning when you squeeze it, absolutely nothing comes out, but it's still damp enough to be pliable so you can blend out the foundation.

Now, mistake number one, when applying foundation with a beauty sponge, especially for those of us with facial hair, is that people will either apply the foundation straight to their face and try and blend it all out, or they apply it to their beauty sponge. And again, try to apply it all over and it's just a mess it's harder to control and you end up getting it in areas like your facial hair, where you do.

So, what I'd like to do is just take my foundation and I pump a little bit onto the back of my hand like this, and then I'm going to do a stamp into it with my beauty sponge. That way I can control the amount of product that I'm applying, because most times foundation a little bit goes a long way. So I'm going to take this much right [00:01:00] here, not a ton.

And what I'm actually going to do is start dotting it on my face in the larger areas first. So that would be for most of us are. And our forehead that way we already have foundation apply to our face and then we can start blending it out. So I really love to do it this way is again, you have foundation on your face, so you have something to work with.

And that way, if you need a little bit more, you can go in with a little bit, and it's easier to add on compared to trying to remove foundation if you have too much. So you're just going to stamp the foundation into place and blend it out wherever you need it. And this is where facial hair comes into play.

So for example, on the side of my. Obviously my facial hair is right here. So when I take my foundation and I'm stamping it, I'm going to work all the areas without facial hair first. And then I'm going to work my way down to where my facial hair. 'cause by the time I get down here, there's going to be hardly any product left on the sponge.

It's just going to be a residual foundation. That way, really all you're doing is you're blending together where your facial hair is to where you don't have any facial hair. And it's going to pick up the foundation on the skin very, very little enough to make sure that the color match [00:02:00] is exact, but not enough to where it's going to mix in with the hair and look gross and crunchy again on this side, we're just going to stamp the product in.

Going to go all the way over to where my sideburn is. And by the time I get there, I can tell that there's not a lot of foundation left on the sponge. So I'm just going to lightly tap over the facial hair again, to make sure that the skin underneath matches the areas of my face with foundation. That way there's no weird color difference, but again, it's not going to be enough to where it's going to interfere with the facial hair now down by where my nose is right here and here, I just take it and I squeeze a sponge.

And again, with very little product left on the. I just stamped right in those areas. And then what you can do is you could turn a sponge around where there's no product at all and just stamp over just to make sure that everything's blended. And again, you're not putting any foundation into the facial hair.

You're just kind of blending into the areas that actually need. So real quick though, I do also want to talk about foundation up on the forehead. Obviously this is not facial hair as far as like beard hair, but it's still here nonetheless. So I still apply my foundation the same way I applied it in the center of my forehead, where it's the largest [00:03:00] biotech, and then I'm just blending it out towards the hairline, because then again, by the time we get to the hair, There's going to be very, very little product left on our sponge.

So this is just enough to blend out the foundation pretty much from like right here, up towards the hairline. Now, if you already have your brows done, like I do again, there's no product left on the sponge practically. So because we've already blended it out all over. So then all you're going to do is just stamp around the brow.

Don't stamp on top of it, but just stamp around because what it's doing is, is pushing pretty much the foundation that's like right here, downwards, it's kind of rolling it onto the areas that doesn't have foundation. And that's where the foundation is going to stick to not your hair down on my chin.

Same thing, apply a little bit to the center because that's what the majority of the product is. And we're just going to stamp it into place there. We're just gonna blow that out to the sides where we're going to meet the facial hair. Like. And then again, no product into the facial hair, turn it over to where it's dry and just stamp around it just to make sure it's blended in.

Nice. And of course we have to get the neck, so I just stamp a bunch over like that, blend it out. Like we were just talking about, make [00:04:00] sure cover all the area without hair first. And then as I get up to my jaw line where the hair is, I tightened my jaw line. Yeah. And I just stamped right against that line and that my friends is how you can quickly and easily apply foundation, even if you're someone with facial hair.
