Makeup Like Manny MUA
===
[00:00:00] Have you ever stopped and thought about the fact that pretty much everyone has their own style of makeup and everyone just has their own way of doing things. And honestly, that is the wonderful thing about makeup is that there really is no right or wrong when it comes to makeup styles, everyone's entitled to do their makeup, however they want.
And there's literally nothing wrong. But with that being said myself, like most other people just kind of do their makeup the same way all the time. If anything, we change up our lip stick color, or maybe our eye shadow style, color, whatnot. But at the end of the day, we kind of usually do the same techniques that we'd like, cause we know what works for us and we just know what we like.
So today I thought it'd be fun to start my new series here on my YouTube channel, where I do my makeup as if I were someone else. Now, what better person could I pick to start off this new makeup series on my. Then the iconic, the wonderful Manny MUA. Now Manny is a beautiful man and makeup like myself, and we both have facial hair.
And I just, I look up to him so much. He's a hard worker, he's an amazing business owner. He does such a good job with his content and his makeup overall. So I just thought it'd be kind of fun to channel him in today's video. So if that's something that [00:01:00] is exciting to you, as it is to. Let's get started.
Alrighty. So my foundation, concealer and brows are already done because that doesn't really affect the outcome of today's look. So we're going to start off with bronzing our face. Now with Manny, typically Manny doesn't have like really bold looks like his makeup. Isn't really harsh as contours, not really harsh.
His eye looks are typically. Glamorous. They're very neutral. Most times of the published shimmer. And usually he has more of a lighter lip. So I'm gonna start with bronzing and we use my Malani bronzer, and I'm just going to take a fluffy brush to apply this because again, his contour isn't really harsh.
So this is just going to allow me to have a nice glow and bring back some color and structure to my face. So being that we both have facial hair, we take it to about the outer third of our eye, just to make sure that we're not dragging down our face. And I don't really see him taking his contour, his bronzer down into a spatial here because for us that have facial hair, it's kind of nice because it's our own little guide and it almost kind of creates its own little contour effect just by being there.
And on my forehead, I take it on to my forehead because I do have a rather large forehead in my opinion. So [00:02:00] I take it kind of down towards my brow, up into my hairline again, like I said, and then at the very, very top of my head, I just push my hair back and go back and forth. This is going to help minimize my forehead and bring attention just to the center for my nose.
I'm going to take that same bronzer and I'm going to use my J sky X five brush, and I'm just going to go along the sides of my nose. And I connect it up towards my brown. I don't feel like Mandy's nose is ever like snatched, like hardcore and neither is mine. So that kind of works out. The thing I liked the most about Manny's makeup is, like I said, it's never really, really harsh.
It's never like caked on. He doesn't go over the top. He just always had this beautiful, natural. Did his makeup and his looks. And I just like it because it's practical makeup. And I feel like a lot of times we as creators just really like colorful over the top looks sometimes. But at the end of the day for me, I also like a toned down look and a lot of his are toned down, but also beautiful.
And it just, it just goes together very, very nicely. All right. So let's move on to blush. Of course we can't do a video as a tribute to Manny MUA without using his very own lunar. Moon prison [00:03:00] blush palette, which is coincidentally my favorite go-to blush palette. So I'm very fair-skinned. So I'm going to dip into pink moon as usual.
I like Manny's blush because I feel like usually he uses almost like a mixture of these two, like the shades that I usually see him where it looks like something in those two right there. So for me, I have chunky cheeks, so I'm going to stamp it on my temples and take it upwards just to lift my face. I don't want to bring any additional volume into my face because I definitely don't need.
Do I look like Manny yet? I wish I could be two things as attractive as Manny and also as successful as Manny I'm working on the second one. All right. So I'm going to get my face a quick spray. I'm going to go into by makeup geek, glitz, highlighter. And I'm just going to apply this to the high points of my face.
Of course. So just right above my cheekbone, I don't want think too blinding, but I just, I definitely want it to show that's pretty. Let me do a little bit on the tip of my nose and just right at the top of the. Alrighty, let's move on to eyeshadow. So I'm going to prep my lid real quick with my Gerard cosmetics, clean canvas base per huge.[00:04:00]
Okay. So for eyeshadow, like I said, Manny loves to do a lot of neutral and wearable looks. So I think it would be a good idea to dip into my 35 X big printed eyeshadow palette from Morphe because this, in my opinion, screams Manny MUA. So we're going to dip into epic edge right here at the bottom. I'm going to tilt my head back.
I'm just going to start stamping this all over my lid. Well, that's pigmented health. Honestly, Morphie eyeshadows. Absolutely never fail. Like they always perform so well. Okay. So once I have that color pack onto my lid, I'm just going to take that same brush and go around the edges, blend it out a little bit, soften it up a little.
Okay. So I'm going to take a fluffy brush and we're going to dip into a going somewhere right there. I'm going to put 50% of this on the shadow. That's already there. And 50 above that really allows you to blend it up nicely. And we're just going to blend out those edges and go all the way over. Okay. So once that's blended out, we're going to take a fluffy brush with nothing on it and just go over the outer edge first, just to make sure it's super, super blended out, no harsh [00:05:00] edges, and then go over the entire thing one last time.
Beautiful. So once that's blended out in beautiful, like it already is, we're going to dip into a, I think Wowza right here. I think that'd be a pretty shimmer. So I'm just going to stamp it on the lid. That's pretty. So I'm going to take this about three fourths of the way over. Like, so now what I'm gonna do is dip in with that flat brush back on epic edge, which was the first dark brown that we use and kind of strategically stamped this back onto the lid on this outer corner, just to bring some dimension and depth into the look.
And then I'll take that fluffy brush again with a little bit of going somewhere, just to make sure it's still blended for my under, I'm going to go on with the volume up along the bottom. All of it. For liner, I'm going to throw on some black liner. I feel like that's looking gorgeous and definitely giving manny MUA vibes so far.
So real quick, I'm going to do the other, I throw on some mascara and lashes and I'll be right back. Okay guys, I'm back. And this is the, I look all complete. I also went through on a bold red lip. I just feel like it [00:06:00] offsets the look. It's a perfect combo. So let's give ourselves one last little spray of setting spray to lock everything into place.
Now this is how I would do my makeup. If I were Manny and. I hope you guys love this. Look as much as I do Manny.
